tanjoubi omedetou gozaimasu = Happy Birthday!

akemashite omedetou gozaimasu = Happy New Year!

omedetou gozaimasu = Congratulations!

oyasuminasai = Good night

gomennasai = I'm sorry

sumimasen = Excuse me

toire wa doko desu ka = Where is the bathroom?

onaka ga suite imasu = I am hungry
